Blue Compression explores the weight of intensity after rupture. A horizontal band anchors the center, compressing layered blues into a dense field of depth and shadow. Small traces of orange and red register across the surface, remnants of an earlier intensity that has been absorbed but not erased.

Layers of cobalt, ultramarine, violet, and indigo accumulate across the surface, with traces of earlier states remaining visible beneath them. Shifts between matte and gloss alter the depth of the blues as the light changes, allowing some passages to advance while others recede.

The painting holds what remains after disruption. Moments of earlier intensity surface briefly before being reabsorbed into the larger field, diminished but still present.
