Disappearance is about moving forward. Dark blue forms drift within an expansive field, carrying small traces of red as reminders of what came before. The experience does not disappear, but its emotional force begins to recede, leaving room to remember that there is always the sun.

Part of the Dissipation & Endurance series, the painting explores the dissipation of emotional force, the persistence of memory, and the endurance that allows us to move forward. Transparent blue and violet acrylic glazes over textured gesso create luminosity without the use of white paint, allowing light to emerge through multiple layers.
