Frequency 2 (Vertical Drift) begins at a point of disturbance that does not fully resolve. A narrow horizontal rupture cuts through a dense red field, where ultramarine, indigo, and cobalt emerge and begin to dissipate. What starts as concentrated intensity shifts into dispersal, thinning and fragmenting as it moves across the surface.

Layered pigment, vertical veils, and areas of erosion draw the composition upward, creating a slow vertical drift. The original rupture remains visible beneath these movements, while traces of color migrate, fade, and reappear within the red field.

Frequency 2 considers what happens when the force of an experience begins to dissipate but never disappears entirely. Its intensity may diminish and its boundaries become less distinct, yet traces of what occurred remain embedded within what follows. Here it becomes a steady hum.
