Acrylic on canvas, signed and ready to hang.

Silence explores the stillness that can follow a period of emotional intensity. An expansive field of blue holds two dark, partially submerged forms, while traces of earlier layers surface and disappear across the painting. The quiet is not an absence, but a space still carrying what came before.

I do not use white or black paint. Instead, translucent layers of blue, violet and indigo allow the gessoed canvas to create light from within, while darker forms remain embedded beneath the surface.
