Color Fields, Fracture & Disappearance
This body of work grows from my belief that significant experiences change us permanently. We do not return to who we were before. Instead, we continue forward carrying those experiences within us.
Each painting is built through repeated layers of acrylic that are interrupted, buried, uncovered, and removed. Pressure builds beneath the surface until something begins to give way.
Earlier layers disappear but remain part of the painting's structure, much like our own experiences continue to shape us even when they are no longer visible.
These paintings are not about returning to an earlier self. They are about endurance inside instability.
My paintings are for people who have been marked by life and continue moving forward.
